The
collages are worked in Photoshop CS2 at 300 ppi. They are constructed
using many layers, techniques and composites using a wide range of Photoshop
skills.
Much of the source material comes from the Internet and some, like the 'Unpostcard' series comes from my own digital photography. You need to know what you're doing in Photoshop when using web sources - apart from possible copyright issues - they are usualy only 72 ppi. |

In using images from the Internet, the subject of copyright is both a moral and a legal issue. I don't source images from pro photographers or copyright image libraries, most of the sources are peoples ordinary online holiday snaps. |
| • | I take small pieces from many sources, cleaning and editing in Photoshop as I go. The overall look and intent of my final collage does not rest on any major part of an individual image or in its original context. As an experienced artist I consider the purposes of these collages to be serious and completely in line with my past and continuing progress - they are not made to exploit the original function of any other persons work - they are new and separate creations. |
